About Shockwave Therapy Centre

– Sunshine Coast

Specialised Care. Advanced Technology. Individual Attention.

Dedicated to Focused Shockwave Therapy Since 2013

At Shockwave Therapy Centre in Bli Bli, we have specialised in focused extracorporeal shockwave therapy (fESWT) since 2013.

Our centre brings together advanced German-engineered technology, extensive clinical experience and a personalised approach to physiotherapy care.

We welcome patients from across the Sunshine Coast and South East Queensland seeking assessment and treatment for selected musculoskeletal conditions, persistent tendon pain and other conditions where focused shockwave therapy may be appropriate.

Our philosophy is simple: understand the individual, identify the underlying problem and recommend the most appropriate treatment.

What Makes Our Centre Different?

Specialised Focused Shockwave Technology

Unlike radial pressure wave devices, focused shockwave technology allows acoustic energy to be directed towards a defined treatment area at selected tissue depths.

This precision can be particularly useful for certain tendon attachments, calcific deposits and deeper anatomical structures.

We use dedicated focused shockwave equipment with treatment parameters selected according to the patient's condition and clinical needs.

Experience That Matters

Since 2013, our centre has developed extensive experience in the clinical application of focused shockwave therapy.

Our work includes selected tendon disorders, plantar heel pain, calcific shoulder tendinopathy and other musculoskeletal presentations.

We also provide assessment and information for selected applications in men's health and aesthetic medicine, recognising that scientific evidence differs between conditions.

Individualised Treatment – Never One Size Fits All

No two patients are exactly alike.

We consider your medical history, symptoms, diagnosis, previous treatment, physical activity and personal goals before recommending a treatment plan.

Focused shockwave therapy may be used alongside physiotherapy, progressive strengthening, load management and other appropriate rehabilitation strategies.

Our priority is to recommend treatment that is suitable for your individual circumstances.

Our Approach to Patient Care

We believe effective care begins with listening.

During your assessment, we take the time to understand your concerns, review your medical history and explain the treatment options available.

Our approach is guided by four principles:

1. Accurate Assessment

Understanding your condition and identifying whether focused shockwave therapy is appropriate.

2. Evidence-Informed Treatment

Considering the available research, clinical experience and individual circumstances before recommending treatment.

3. Advanced Technology

Using dedicated focused shockwave equipment to deliver controlled acoustic energy to selected treatment areas.

4. Personalised Rehabilitation

Supporting recovery and function through appropriate advice, activity modification and rehabilitation where required.

We recognise that focused shockwave therapy is not suitable for every condition or patient. Treatment outcomes vary, and we believe in providing realistic expectations.
